IG: 2012
2012 was a big year for the camera phone.
Instagram’s popularity was unrivaled, and allowed photographers of all skill levels to document and share the world around them.
The ethics of using this new technology to document a scene were hotly debated in the photojournalism world this past year, with the smart phone’s utilization in personal projects, as well as coverage of national news.
For me (at least for now) taking pictures on my iPhone simply allows for a quick and fun way to practice my composition and use of lighting, without worrying about other technical aspects.
